      Good place to learn, not for career ladder

      Pros

      Online e-learning trainings are provided, so employees can learn from this. Medical benefit is one of the best in Jakarta with full coverage for officer level.

      Cons

      Management is less likely to explain future plan and promotion preferences among employees are easily noticed (favoritism), even though one has accomplished a bunch of success during employment.

      Pros

      SCB used to be known as a bank where ex-Citi people go to when they want to settle down and have kids. This may be less true now, but the culture is generally less cut-throat compared to Citi or HSBC.

      Base pay and bonus lag behind other international banks, more comparable to local banks

      Pros

      Potential to get better bonus than market, but only if you perform. That's all.

      Cons

      Management direction is not clear enough. Poor work & personal life balance. Stressful working environment. General impression of management is that they ONLY care about revenue, revenue, revenue, and ignore employees' well being.
