Pros

Great pay and benefits. That’s it. Nothing else.

Cons

Management snitches on their own team to get people fired, no store support, and no manager support. Higher ups look out for each other and not other staff in the store. They don’t train. They bs train for 2 min and throw you to the floor and then penalize you when you didn’t do it to their liking. There is no work life balance. They lie.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We are sorry to hear what you've experienced and take what you have written seriously. The behavior you described is concerning and is counter to the employee experience we promise. We want all of our employees to feel valued and supported by their management teams. Your feedback is being reviewed to ensure issues like this are addressed. Even though you’re no longer an employee, we’d greatly appreciate if you could reach out to our anonymous third-party provider iCare, Sephora's ethics and compliance portal, to share additional details about your experience.

Pros

Great colleagues, great clients, freebies to try so you can recommend

Cons

Look at website. No one is over 30. It’s awful philosophy. I had older clients wait for me so they could talk to someone who understood they issues first hand.

Thank you for your commitment to Sephora over the past decade plus. At Sephora, we're very intentional about building teams representative of the diverse clients and communities we serve and fostering inclusive workplaces while fully acknowledging there is more work to be done. We’ve made more progress in some areas and less in others, but we are encouraged by the progress we've made together.

Pros

With having worked in multiple Sephora’s I would say your experience with the company is going to be completely based on the store director and their assistant store manager ( usually there’s only 1 of those , larger stores may have 2) . You get on with them and you’re golden. You don’t and it’s a nightmare. Back in the day the free stuff used to be great but it’s limited now to one product bag once a month of about 6-11 individual items now.

Cons

This never affected me as I was full time hit the company is increasing ( and this has been a movement for over 6 yrs ) been moving to part time. They’re moving to limiting the benefits they have to off. You’ll be expected to work a minimum of 9 out of 12 Fri to sundays a month. I see a lot of managers who’ve been with the company a number of yrs jumping ship. The work environment is increasing toxic with pushing for adding $$ and credit cards to sales and then criticizing you for not doing in less then 10 mins with each client. You just can’t please them. There’s less stressful places to get $14-16 an hr. The bonus structure is completely done away with unless you’re the store manager or associate Manager. I’ve only seen 1 person get a proper promotion in my store in 3 yrs. So if they dangle a quick promotion carrot in front of you to get you in the door I’d take that promise lightly.
