Pros

Some good people to work with Samsung looks nice on your CV Cake day

Cons

Contractors and Permanent staff getting treated differently with training, going to summer and Christmas events. Really bad career progression. Manager hasnt really bothered taking time hiring quality staff. Zero experience staff joining the company at higher rank and higher salary

Pros

Leading consumer tech company, decent pay and benefits, but no more.

Cons

Top brass Koreans have absolutely no respect for locals, not even for their own people, they do not trust anyone, their disrespectful military style goes against moral and self-esteem, and creating employee fear is management number one job. Even if you are in an urgent need for a job, do not accept any offer, you will regret afterward, or you will get fired. Attrition is very high and not even justifies the need for a learning opportunity. Poor work-life balance, employees can't comment or speak, just obey, no autonomy to take any decision, just follow orders, Koreans just want robots working for them. HH RR department ignores local country labor laws, and they walk a very thin line while trying to comply with minimum standards, they are just an instrument of senior management to blackmail employees, who must get things done or get fired. You have a long way to learn respect for your employees. I'm not writing this review to attack Samsung, neither expecting any kind of apology. I´m writing this review to advise anyone wishing to work for Samsung, not to make such a huge mistake as I did, my life was miserable there.

Pros

Used to be a great job with a lot flexibility. Those days are toast.

Cons

I don't know who is dictating the schedule of the field team, but it's gone from bad to worse. Used to be a Mon-Fri job. It was awesome. Now, who the eff knows. We get sent out a schedule a week before it starts for the month. Working company holidays, 8 DAYS IN A ROW over Thanksgiving...for no other reason than this greedy company trying to push a few more boxes. The team is miserable, doesn't have 2 days off in a row...I could go on. This has gone from a territory management role to a retail micromanaged position. Don't you dare have more than 3 pieces of swag on your table during table days, or try to spend time with your family on weekends. I'm sure after S10 launches, they will see a TON of turnover. All the good ones are leaving and upper management doesn't give a damn. Oh, and you will only be promoted if you came from the best buy side....a failing program.
