      Pros

      Comfortable and relaxing environment. You may choose whichever professional path you like best once you failed in the previous one.

      Cons

      Typical Italian style in business conduction. Absolute no meritocratic treatment. Performance appraisal based on subjective impressions by people with no actual competence. Salaries fixed and based on the national contract for metalworkers. No truly benefit, only basic salaries.

      Pros

      I enjoy the working environment, the work life balance, great immediate manager and working in the lab. The compensation and benefits are better than other semiconductor companies.

      Cons

      No employee stock purchase plan. Budget is so tight in my group not all stated benefits are granted and travel is restricted despite the opportunities for more business. The security on IT is ridiculously restrictive. Too many field marketing people. I now now why most people do not like the French. Keep the Italian sites.

      + Will get exposure to excellent technologies + Flexibility in work + Great benifits

      Cons

      + Frustrating work environment due to lot of internal politics + Lot of customer projects end up in disaster despite excellent product offering due to execution failures + Too many sites world wide makes it really difficult to pull off a successful project
