      Field Engineers - be prepared to work

      Pros

      Best in industry training for Engineers. If you do not have a degree in petroleum engineering SLB is a good place to go and learn. If you are able to stay with SLB thru GFE you have lot of potential to alot of different things from recruiting to management to technical.

      Cons

      The work - personal life balance is tilted strongly towards work. You work alot of hours and get a lot of responsibility early on whether you are ready for it or not. Be prepared to work ALOT!!!

      Pros

      life long learning, big money, you get to travel. A family friendly company, and you will get all the support you can for relocation. You get a real responsibility from day one, however there is always someone who is ready to help if you get stuck. Very good knowledge share base. If you have a specific porblem, you can reach to any emplyee of schlumberger worldwide to benefit from his experience.

      Cons

      Requires very hard work on the expense of your persnal life. Other companies can still pay more than schlumberger for similar tasks. The HR should more fair and open minded.
