Pros

Great culture period. Amazing perks and beautiful campus in Cary. Great walking trails. Lots of good food at great prices.

Cons

Unethical management processes. You are either a favorite or they will push you out like you are trash. Veteran SAS employees with zero management experience "leading" teams but provide zero leadership. There is no coaching or mentoring. You are on your own. The dream job can turn into your worst nightmare in a matter of days here. Very disappointing.

Pros

A wonderful company for those who want to "retire in place". Benefits are outstanding. Colleagues are very friendly and caring. Salary is competitive.

Cons

People are promoted solely based on personal relationships and not on competence. If you are not part of a certain "network" or willing to pretend that you might join it (certain clubs, certain churches, certain political parties), there is no chance to get any opportunities. Most highly qualified personnel have left for competitors (look at the turnover rate on LinkedIn). If you are good at your job, you will end up doing far more than your fair share of work. (Though if you are not competent, no one will ever fire you) Very bureaucratic. Many peoples' jobs rely on the bureaucracy staying so no one is motivated to make it better.

Pros

- Excellent Benefits - Insurance covers things you never thought it would - Excellent Work/Life Balance - Autonomy - Ability to learn and grow through training programs offered (Lynda.com and others) - Access to great sales tools (like DiscoverOrg and Sales Navigator) - Some of the smartest technical resources around - The best of intentions

Cons

- Passive aggressive culture - #1 reason I'm leaving - Very expensive software that's quickly becoming a commodity (or already has in some cases) Services are even more expensive - NO official rules or policy around performance reviews (or if there is no one follows it) - It took 5 months to get a comp plan for 2018 - Confusing marketing practices with completely outdated tools that take a ton of time to use (to invite prospects to an event you literally have to re-write each email - mail merge is impossible) - Redundancy of account planning using a tool that looks like it came from and didn't grow out of the 90's - No sense of urgency to change - at least not at the tactical level which is the level most of us work in - If you're not in HQ you're a bit out of touch
