Pros

Conscious care goes to making sure Riot is PLAYER FOCUSED, and the best they can be. Riot really is actively trying to improve, and be the highest quality game company they can.The commitment to their IP, and their players is 2nd to none. The level of care I see daily brings tears to my eyes.

Cons

It aint easy creating the best, most engaging experiences possible. The team demands a lot. These are NOT Cons!

Pros

The best group of folks I have ever had the pleasure of working with, and I've been doing the software gig for a long time. Everyone, from summer college interns to senior crew have insightful, relevant perspectives to offer to anyone willing to ask. I know that I can go to _anyone_ at Riot, President on down, with a question, off the wall idea, or concern and get a thoughtful non-bullcrap response from them. I cannot stress how awesome and valuable this is. Riot is fantastic at promoting personal growth. If you get hired in a position but decide you might be a better fit or happier elsewhere in the org, they go above and beyond to help you transition and succeed.

Cons

Not much to say here. Prior to Riot, I worked with firms where downtime or interruptions more than a couple seconds long would lead to Very Bad Things. Sometimes we identify player-impacting problems with straightforward solutions that take, in my opinion, too much time to implement.

Pros

I was working at Riot Games as an MBA intern this summer. It is a truly meaningful experience. Seldom could we work for a company at such rapid growing stage, yet there are already lots of amazingly smart, humble, and passionate people who you could work with and learn from every day! There is no routine or fixed type here. Everyone and everything is unique. You can define your experience and others' experience here.

Cons

Having said that, you might have realized that it's challenging to work in such an environment if you are not a person who likes high autonomy, solving ambiguous problems without much guidance, and can work in a messy situation. If you are looking for well-structured training and guidance, Riot might not be the place for you. Here, you have the freedom to create and grow, but you have to be able to take care of yourself and have a good judgement on when to DIY and when to seek help. And if you don't like fast-paced, sometimes high pressure, and always changing work, then prob. you'll feel very stressed here. It's good to step out of your comfort zone, but you cannot go too far if the challenge gives you more harm than good.
