Is a highly volatile political atmosphere in which to work! Depending on whom you are, if you are hourly and not personally favored by your manager you will be held to strict company policy. If you are a 50 level or higher salaried employee you can pretty much do anything you want to in front of anyone and they will be required to turn a blind eye to your unprofessional activities during working hour. No opportunity for hourly employees to be promoted into salaried ranks. Salaried ranks get promoted quit frequently.

- The company is full of people that would be unemployable elsewhere. - Those who are managing people have no idea about leading a team. - At Philips, the way you can go doesn’t depend on your skill set or how you can contribute to the strategic direction of the company, but it has all to do with the number of years you spend at the company (perhaps learning nothing and doing nothing). - No HR systems, procedures, strategic actions. - Full of disengaged employees. - No sense of ownership nor collaboration. - No visible company culture. The culture element is broken :)
