Pros

Free Pizza Sometimes! The health care is actually very good.

Cons

OMG!!! I sincerely do not have enough time in a day to share all of the negatives. There are some nice people here and many immature folks. It’s like an adult day care center without diapers! Actually, I think people do poop their pants because the lavatory situation is criminal! So let’s get this horror show rolling. To work here you had better be a “teacher’s pet” or you will never make any decent money. I am in payroll and am 37 years old and have never seen as corrupt a system as at Paychex. I see reps come and go out of pure frustration due to the ridiculously low base salary, the monthly lack of sales and therefore low commission, or just the interaction with management and/or your coworkers. John Gibson, the CEO, has driven the stock into the ground and ONLY makes almost $9 million a year to suck. He would love to have robots in the office because he could work those until their bolts pop out and their circuits blow. I see really good people get upset and quit because no one listens to their legitimate concerns. No one cares! OK, hopefully this will encourage you to find employment elsewhere where you may have a real chance of success.

Paychex a Tragic End

Pros

A once great company. At one point in time the pros were: 1. Remote/hybrid 2. Competitive pay/benefits 3. Amazing leadership (non micromanagement) 4. Career growth 5. Trust in work relationships 6. Professional …none of this today.

Cons

A exceptional business can last for two or three or even a dozen generations. But they all don’t, so what happened to Paychex? All the great leaders left this organization together. Who did Paychex replace them with? Some of the worst and incompetent micromanagers that I’ve ever seen in my career. Many of them outside the organization. They hired boomers and micromanagers outside the organization with legacies of gutting and hollowing out their previous companies by offshoring and total disregard for the workforce that dedicated decades to building this company’s reputation to almost a 4.0 place to work. Today it’s an abysmal 3.2 and going lower every year. After Martin Mucci left this place struggled. For new comers just sure it’s worth it financially before you commit to working here.
