Pros

Great place to learn and grow. Promotions come frequently. Lots of internal opportunity -- and the training to get ahead is terrific. Benefits plan is great and lots of Wellness stuff, mostly free

Cons

A little old fashioned which is sometimes OK. Managers may be promoted so quickly so they are only a few years older than you in some cases. We've had some management turnover lately so there is some confusion about who is in charge. Not a lot of goof off time, but most of the time we go home at 5:00 too.

Pros

Great company with no micro-management. Reps are given the autonomy to make business decisions and create mutually beneficial relationships with CPA's and Bankers to generate refferals. Managers are supportive and want you to suceed so are more then happy to offer support and advice. If you have a bad month they will analyse the reasons for this and even go on appointments to help you get back on track. Sales Manager that can walk the walk is great. Its not an easy job but I am satisfied with the workload and the compensation at Paychex. We are treated with respect and its not a hard product. You just have to get in front of as many people as possible.

Cons

None. The job is tough but most the employees seem to enjoy the challenge.

Pros

Paychex is a good place to start a career and if you are willing to relocate you can move up to many different positions. They have a great training program and are willing to train you in new areas if you are interested. The people I have worked with have generally been very helpful and fun to work with. My managers have always been very open with me and willing to listen to suggestions and complaints. Paychex seems to understand that they need to listen to the employees who work with clients directly and make changes when they are needed.

Cons

The pay could be better and the health benefits.
