Good Sales Experience, Nothing More
Pros
Unlimited PTO, Flexible WFH, a lot of freedom to find what works for you as a sales person
Cons
Working with CPAs and getting business from them can be really difficult. They want you to be able to solve problems and have basic knowledge on taxation and how businesses operate at a tax level but Paychex does not train you in that at all. They train you in how to sell. Your success is very dependent on the level of training your manager puts in and how good they are at solving those complex problems because if you can't solve a problem for a CPA they will not refer you. Comp plan was much better in previous years but has since been completely slashed. They also laid off a lot of good people who were in the organization for many years so they could outsource their jobs to India. Not very true to what their values were as a "People first" company.
