Pros

Regardless of their policies most managers are decent. It’s a nice environment 40% of the time. They give you free items for allotment every 3 months or so.

Cons

The store has a very huge problem with time management, the manager in charge of the schedule is always either forgetting or ignoring people’s availability, scheduling them in days or/and times they are not available, resulting in either losing those hours or accepting a shift at times you are not available, and sometimes even using their bias to decide who gets hours and how doesn’t. Some managers will try to use emotional blackmailing when you try to use your PTO, speaking of time off, the store has a very inconvenient rule that says that you can not call out or inform you are using your PTO in advance, you can only call 2 hours before the start of the shift in question, this not only causes inconvenience to the employees but also to the store itself because it results in sudden staff shortages, this rule was just recently changed but only because it finally represented an inconvenience for the management team. The job is mostly for people in high school, wouldn’t recommend it if you are looking for a steady job with stable income since the store has this very random drops in sales and hours. Some managers do have horrible actitudes that often cause people to quit after a couple months. There even was a huge wave of people quitting at the beginning of this year.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear your experience doesn't mirror our efforts to create a nice working environment for everybody. We take your feedback very serious and will look into this matter. We greatly value your input. On an ongoing basis, we continuously look to improve Retail Store Operations. We are aware of the busy and fast-paced work environment and how much support and initiative is needed in that business unit. Adding to that, we are very open about constructive criticism and propositions on how we can improve the work environment even more. Your feedback is instrumental in our continuous efforts to enhance our work environment. Sharing constructive criticism with us enables us to identify areas for improvement and strive towards providing the best possible experience for our team. We wish you all the best for your future career.
