      Contract workers are rugs for PPG to walk on.

      Pros

      They provide great opportunity and room for advancement if you are a permanent employee.

      Cons

      They do not take care of their contract employees. They do not offer any benefits package or retirement. When it came time for my yearly raise, I received less than what was stated in my performance review. Upper management ignored my inquiry into the matter.

      Pros

      Great Benefits and the often hire from within. However they often hire outside MBA's that have no ture customer experience.

      Cons

      Poor upper management skills. Very political and often being the political person would advance your career more so than abilities. Very slow moving and don't react fast. Current top managementis out of place with customer perspective.

      The company does more than enough to present you with opportunities to move vertically or horizontally within the company. Great company with solid management.

      Cons

      Very old company that can sometimes be resistant to change and inflexible. New breed of young workers coming in now should change that.
