      Good place to train for your next job

      Pros

      Oracle had a good training program for those not familiar with the database and application market. It was intermixed with working with existing sales people to get people up to speed quickly. The building was nice as it had a nice cafeteria and large free onsite gym to workout in.

      Cons

      There was no career path for sales people most people including top performers left after a while. Either you moved into management or you moved on. The sales team I worked with seemed to be a body shop with high turnover which could explain why the training was so good.

      Pros

      Work Life Balance is fantastic. If you understand this you'll be ok. If you don't you'll be unhappy. Personally, I love Oracle for this reason. I have time to do my job and time to do what I love as well.

      Cons

      Very political. Difficult to move up in the organization or get pay increases. Join the company as high as you can.

      Lots of opportunities to work in different areas within the company. Great company for work/life balance, social club, gym.

      Expected to do lots of overtime.
