      Pros

      Multinational successful company, powerful brand. A variety of technologies and products allowing you to learn a lot. Good compensation and salary package. In my department I was happy with the work / life balance. As everywhere that may vary depending on the exact team / department you're in though.

      Cons

      Oracle is a big company: management was out of touch and disconnected from the small guy. Growth is slow in some areas and opportunities to significantly influence the company aren't that many. Too much middle management, too much red tape.

      Pros

      Big but very dynamic company. They can respond very quickly to new initiative or messaging. Agile to respond to trends in the marketplace. Leader in the marketspace. Strong people with good business acumen and related experience. Strong execution at all levels and groups.

      Cons

      customers are getting very confused. Aggressive acquisitions have confused customers on how they benefit. Too many sub groups at Oracle. Sometimes go to market models conflict with other internal groups. Not everyone will look at what is best for the customer. The customer is then left to interpret on their own and figure out what solution is best for them.

      Pros

      Great brand name. Company is growing fast. They pay a good salary. Benefits are standard although not very generous.Culture encourages telecommuting and flexibility in managing your own time. Oracle has a very focused business strategy. Results oriented.

      Cons

      Low advancement opportunities - not very open to internal mobility. No internal community - you have to be independent. The company's culture does not include providing any career guidance to employees. Training is available but not actively pushed.
