      Pros

      Challenging and access to all the software and insider tools.

      Cons

      They beat the crap out of you. Extremely stressful. The travel is a killer and you cannot get of them. Favoritism and nepotism are rampant. Kissing up the right rear will take you places.

      Pros

      Pretty stable company, one could argue enterprise software is one of the more resilient markets toward economic downturns. Many of the best products in the market are owned by Oracle including PeopleSoft and Hyperion.

      Cons

      Bureaucratic nightmare. Literally 5 tiers of management within the inside sales organization alone! Selling the value of our software to customers is the easy part, dealing with Oracle is the hard part. We constantly feel slighted and many decisions from senior management impact our ability to do our job and earn a living.

      it's better than no work at all; may be some other companies like it in your resume

      Cons

      We are working with the worst and outdated tools that currently exist, and all of them were designed by Oracle. If your opponent has been with the company for more than 5 years, don't argue. There's nothing to discuss. After 5 years at the company the blood stops moving us to an employee's brains and he/she becomes an Oracle cheerleader.
