      If you want support, leadership and training, this isn't the right company

      Pros

      - Learned new skills as the approach is very much "all hands on deck". - Hard working and skilled team, some really supportive and friendly people. - Given a lot of autonomy.

      Cons

      - Higher management ignore issues raised by employees (even when an issue is escalated by a manager). This creates a huge level of frustration among employees. - Lack of employee support, guidance and direction - you get thrown in the shark tank and are expected to find your own way out. And if you don't, you get the blame. - Poor organization - new products/changes often announced last minute. - Poor managerial structure, and ignorance about effective people management (lack of employee reviews, rewards for good work..).

      Pros

      It's a growing company with lots of successful products and always searching to diversify its offer. Good advantages, great location in downtown Montreal. Competitive salaries. Nice geek ambiance. Low to non-existent hierarchies, you can talk to anyone or ask about anything provided your interlocutor has the time to answer. Very dynamic structure and workflows.

      Cons

      As the company grows in number of employees the perks are being reduced. Training program is rather limited, poorly designed and internal. Most learning comes from asking or investigating on your own. As a consequence, career opportunities are scarce and you will most probably stay doing what you were initially hired for.

      Pros

      Full of talented people, always eager to help and share their knowledge. Wide scopes yet very technical subjects. They will let you propose new subjects.

      Cons

      Very bad management, direct harrasment from godlike managers and the ceo himself. Has their is few hierarchy, you will be directly exposed. Projects schedules are never respected.
