Not the company it used to be

Pros

- Some very smart and talented people across all departments, trying to create something special and make a difference. - The market opportunity is incredible, if the company can execute to plan. - Great product portfolio. Very interesting technology which allows you to solve interesting and challenging problems in the market. - Food (snacks / the odd lunch) and drinks are provided free of charge. - Still the potential to IPO in the future, even if they are now at Series G funding.

Cons

- Lots of politics for such a small company, which leads to a very toxic working environment. - Many tenured and experienced employees are jumping ship. Poor staff retention rates, especially in Marketing. - Work life balance is difficult to maintain, with long hours and an expectation to be available 24/7. - Not a lot of team work. Often feel stretched well beyond your capabilities, especially as you have to pick up the slack from the many ‘deadwood’ employees. - Leadership tends to be weak, inexperienced and hypocritical. They do not trust their employees and like to micromanage. Quick to criticize when things go wrong.

Disappointing and cheating

Pros

Seems to be willing to invest in training; from the onset, it seems positive. However, disappointing quickly due to dishonesty and heavy politics.

Cons

Expects a great deal from people but very limited resources and support provided; a lot of politics; management only cares about sales results, neglects overall culture and other job functions; there are a lot of ambiguity and very little empowerment; does not truly care about its people and career path, development etc.
