Pros

Flexible work environment. I worked from home as did the rest of my team. We were scattered among cities throughout the US.

Cons

No real sense of team. Managing a virtual team is difficult, especially when you can't get together in person that often. Working from home is great, but it should be balanced with (maybe) monthly in person meetings? The office politics were awful. During "OpEx" decisions were made to let people in closed door gossip sessions that reminded me of fraternity and sorority "black ball" sessions. Not enough focus on results based projects, more focus on political aspects of the persons' career. It made me uncomfortable to be a part of.

Pros

-Great pay if you work for it -Flexible work hour -Little direct supervision I worked in the MetLife Services division for about 6 years. Overall it was a pretty sweet gig and i enjoyed it for the most part. I left the job to get my MBA. I have considered and will continue to consider returning.

Cons

- My second manager was totally incompetent and disconnected - Many of the other reps were sub-par and should have been jettisoned - Working for a large company, the bureaucracy can be difficult to navigate - some of the support staff mad doing business harder than it should have been

Pros

a lot of products to offer prospects but training all over the place.

Cons

Leads givens to senior reps, lack of focus on new reps after 19 weeks, infrasture for success not in place for inexperience reps. only 10% of earned commission is paid out. ex. 1000 in commission you at $100 in next weeks check assumming you are at the 63% commission pay out. Note it is a little detail than this but basically you are paid 10% of what you received in commissions.
