Pros

Stability with a well known company

Cons

Burn out city. The culture is setup so that you’re expected to overwork. Pay is average to below average compared to the market.

Extremely Toxic and Vile

Pros

I really enjoyed the on-campus gym, which I know they built because they expected us to work too much to have time to go elsewhere

Cons

Our entire department thrived on putting new employees down in a bootcamp-style type of training (it should come as no surprise that more than two of the managers/VPs are former military). I was berated daily for inconsequential mistakes, while the great work I was doing when completely unnoticed. I went from giving my input to (seemingly overnight) getting yelled at for simply asking questions. All while getting interrogated if I dared to take 30 minutes to work out to help me deal with the stress.

Pros

1. Management considering employee feedback on improving work culture 2. Flexible work hours 3. Research opportunities

Cons

1. More emphasis on presentations than actual data science work 2. Too much workload to handle mundane tasks 3. Work hours extending till 9 pm literally everyday 4. Rewards and recognition needs to be improved 5. Too much process oriented. For any benefit/policy/work lots of process to follow, and company process is not smooth, multiple follow ups needed 6. If you are a versatile data scientist and looking for a change to improve your horizons - you will definitely be disappointed after joining the company. 7. Not an employee friendly company
