Pros

The company offered great benefits, including health, dental, long and short term disability, and life insurance. They had a matching 401K option, and flexible spending accounts. The office hours were Monday - Friday, and would provide flexible schedules including 4 - 10 hour shifts, or split shifts to accomidate for employees going back to school or with special needs.

Cons

The insurance industry flows with the financial sector in the market. If the financial or insurance companies are impacted, Metlife also receives a blow. Also, MetLife began offshoring and outsourcing some of its customer service positions. Representatives are now required to be more valuable by cross training on multiple product lines.

Pros

-Holiday cubicle/team competitions -causal environment, too casual - yes answering phones, but people literally came in with stuff I wouldnt even wear to bed. -good benefits

Cons

-high turnover, its all about calls calls calls -stuck in cubicle for 8 hours a day, your timed when you go to the bathroom or if you get up to do something since you have to log out of the system -better learn to type fast and in MET code. -every call is recorded and can be pulled and you get graded on 5 calls and then they review with you, I actually got a review saying that I was too nice in a call? that was a first...
