Pros

Great benefits and generous PTO. The culture/morale used to be very family oriented and overall warm and encouraging.

Cons

There has been lots of change over the last 7 years, seems there is a re-organization every 18 months or so. This makes it difficult to promote growth and positive morale. Through the re-orgs many have been let go or demoted.

Pros

As a company, MetLife's businesses are performing well and enjoy strong leadership both here and abroad.

Cons

One individual line of business, US Direct, has undergone significant reorganization with new leadership. Unfortunately, the new senior leader has eliminated people not on performance basis but rather political ones. This has resulted in nearly 30 departures as leaders and associates alike leave for other lines of business.

Pros

HR seems to understand that there are problems and is attempting to remedy them. Constant change- if you don't like your manager today, wait 4 months for a new one.

Cons

Management is out of touch.
