      Very biased based on personal relationships with management

      Pros

      Casual atmosphere. Work from home. Some fun and great people. Parties at fancy locations. Fast-paced with always something to keep busy.

      Cons

      Upper management is not always transparent with communication. Nepotism and favoritism from personal relationships with management. Fiscally cheap in the wrong areas. Must understand office politics to survive.

      Many growing pains

      Pros

      At first I was impressed by the employees - smart, innovative, hard-working. I was also impressed how the company managed to become a leader in the industry in a short amount of time. So much so that Medidata's biggest competitor is now owned by Oracle. Medidata has a good reputation in the industry.

      Cons

      Growing too fast - making too many changes. Sometimes changes are made to the benefit of just one group in the company. Not enough office space in NYC. No clear career paths. Communication isn't the best it can be and again, too many changes too often.

      Pros

      This is an innovative, cool place to work. People are smart and talented and passionate about what they do. Great company parties and employee get-togethers - people enjoy hanging together. Management is respectful of employees and there's no discrimination or politics like at other companies. People get promoted if they deserve it. HR is supportive of employees and has a focus on training and career advancement. Good pay and benefits. Most of the executives are actually cool people. Glad I found this place!

      Cons

      -Communication - there needs to be more communication from the senior executives about vision, progress, where we are. -Because of the growth, some of the offices are crowded. -Because of the growth, there's a lot of work for some groups.
