Pros

Progression if your face fits. Discount, if you read the handbook there are some good benefits of you know your rights but managers do not entirely make you aware of these.

Cons

*Very poor ill trained and experienced area managers. Promoted from within because their "face fits". Really do not know how to run stores, have un realistic expectations because they simply do not know a store managers role. Always over looked by country manager. If left to run a store for a week they couldn't do it. * For managers there are too many departments working in Spain that do not understand each other's role and what they require from the stores. Therefore each adding more strain to managers within store level to get all work completed to their deadlines. * Minimum pay - awful from a leading brand in the U.K. Shows how they think of their staff! * Bonus is very out of reach but used as a sales patter within interviews. * staff working conditions such as staff rooms became appalling. Some stores having no toilets built (requested to use shopping centres public toilets) and new stores built without staff rooms. Simply no where to eat, drink or go at lunchtime. * Store openings became a shambles with no communication or prior briefing from Area or country management. Staff told last minute and expected to know their expectations. Assumed staff would work long hours with no prior warning and little breaks. Staff recruited in a very poor way 24 hours before they start. Thrown in at the deep end to have a nagative and stressful effect on store team. * So much stress related illnesses within the company that senior management choose to overlook. Managers that have worked for the company for many years that are experienced and competent are reduced to being unable to function and very ill. Senior managers simply not interested.

Pros

Only a handful of the people you work with are nice. The rest of the workers are two faced and rude.

Cons

Very poor working conditions. The managers are not properly trained, and are incredibly rude. ALWAYS texting on their phones, and speaking Spanish to their colleagues. The staff room is so small and always dirty and toilets were incredibly unhygienic. Give proper training to newcomers. I only worked here for a few weeks and 12 people had left. There is no air conditioning and it could get really hot. I was working on the ground floor and was told I was not allowed a bottle of water to hydrate myself. You cannot call in sick because they are short of staff so they force you to come in. CCTV in staffroom does not work and valuables often go missing. They can make you stay 2 hours after you finish because of the lack of staff and they don't pay you for it. Favouritism and discrimination is a big issue. Staff are not valued properly. They don't care about you only about sales.

Pros

Other sales associates. 25% staff discount. Other sales associates. Other sales associates.Other sales associates. Other sales associates. Other sales associates.

Cons

Staff not valued by management in the store I worked in- almost every other employee complained about constantly being underpaid with managers not addressing issue or taking responsibility. Managers constantly using mobile phones/ chatting on shop floor yet telling employees not to do so. Employees told by managers that they cannot take any days off sick at all- employees forced to work when ill contrary to contracts. Overtime/cover not always recorded by management- employees work extra hours and aren't paid for it. Favouritism and discrimination issues need to be addressed.
