Pros

Discount. That's literally the ONLY pro in my opinion.

Cons

Where shall I start? First of all, this company lies about advancement. Unless you are the perfect little Louis Vuitton soldier they will not advance you in your career. They sell you a bid of goods during the hiring process about how they love to promote from within and how the like to keep it in the LV family but I was fully qualified to move from PT to FT with the numbers and everything and they hired from OUTSIDE the store. So there's that. They have extremely high expectations about goals and outreaching and if you don't succeed there is intense micromanagement and consequences. Then there's management. Let's just say that the management is not what you'd expect from a company with such prestige as LV. Same with a lot of their Client Advisors. You're getting people who in some cases have NEVER worked in luxury retail and think they know everything but they're running luxury retail on their "Gap" minded brains. (No offense to the Gap. Used to LOVE the heck out of your fleece pull overs.) The schedule sucks, of course it's retail hours but there are times where you only have one week's schedule at a time so there is no work life balance and you can't plan anything ahead without having to request off. Of course if you request off to much they get mad about it so either way you're in trouble. Finally let's get to the pay...it sucks! They don't pay near enough of a base salary and then the way the commission structure is set up is a joke. Unless you are in one of the HUGE store in Beverly Hills or New York, it isn't going to happen. There also seemed to be a lot of favoritism that played into the politics of the way the store ran as well that just never set well with me.

Pros

Pay is decent, everything looks cleans, and company benefits do help, if your permanent. However, there is unfortunately not a lot of good to say.

Cons

Louis Vuitton Client Services really is a former shadow of itself, and I am specifically referring to the Irving Call Center location. I took the liberty to break down the specifics as to what you will be expecting once you take on this role as Client Service Advisor if hired. 1)the role you are applying for, this is a job, not a career. First and foremost, the probable reason why you are hired in the first place is due to available, it is not based on skill or background prior to this position. HR all wants to know is if you are willing to work the hours they provide. Best believe they only want to know is if you can navigate through a couple of modules and systems, which is equivalent knowledge to know how to open a phone application and browser tabs, that is all. Also have good customer service skills. So if you you are looking for a stable paycheck (at the very least) a decent job, this is probably a job worth looking into but not worth investing for a long term career, just to give you the synopsis of the position. 2)management, holy molly. Management has no clear vision or even show any type of managing skills from their respective teams. (For me personally, I worked for this company for one year. In that timeframe, I was under not one, not two but three managers that did not know 2/3 of what was going on their teams or have a clear and upstanding morale for the team) Don’t get wrong, some managers are good and somewhat understanding. However that is a complete minority. Most of all managers will tell you to not bother them or have no clear answer to give you once faced with a problem. So in essence management is disorganized and nonsense for the most part. If you are looking for management that have no focus for the team, let alone to you. Then this positions is for you. 3)RTA, Real-Time Analyst. They are in the position to micromanage the whole call center in regards in personal/ off work time usage and even in the minutes in between one call after the other, ‘how do you think this will play out?’ Not so well, they will come up physically to your desk making a huge case and issue of time usage outside of the normal timing they expect. First of all, the guy who invented this position got demoted, so you understand where this is going. Anyone can take up this position. The people only favor the people that they like, so if they don’t like you. You will be hunted by them. Second of all, they do not have any goals or anything to serve the rest of the office. Other than just hunting down the people that they go over their time. 4)Company has no appreciation, Company First mentality. -This is a personal story for me that I want to share, I’ve seen a lot of people in my training class with dreams and ambitions to work for this company, for me, I worked at an office prior to this one. However, I only had a high school diploma attached to my name. No degree or any certification after that. But anyways, the people I worked with, they have have 4 year certifications or higher education degrees. This company disregards anyone and all people that have been to college and does not value their knowledge or abilities to help grow their brand. Understand your talent within your company and recognize these people with actual work ethic, instead of treating them like junk. 6)They have right to fire you or let you go...... for no reason. This kinda requires some background information to understand why I say this. In Mid-2018, the director conducted an audit of the entire HR department, due the HR manager giving out raises in wage, hire incompetent people, and have a rigid system in their hiring processing. So as a result, they fired everyone involved. By end of 2018, HR decided to update the employee handbook to have a required signed signature, saying that the director or any management if they find it suited for the business needs do not need to elaborate and explain why they are letting you go. THAT’S RIGHT, no matter how much of a good job you are doing, meeting sales goals, answering diligently every call, not missing usual days. They reserve the right to terminate your employment in a direct manner. So if you want to waste your effort and time and knowingly it will not save your employment or will be recognized, go ahead take this position. In conclusion, the reason why I have elaborated on this position it is because I’ve wasted one entire year on my youthful life devoted to this company, and they have not give me skills or any knowledge to help advance or push me toward for my career. This is merely a job that does not push to your limit, it just pushes you to do the bare minimum and it is nothing but a 9-5 job, not a career.

Pros

The products are nice but that's about it. The employee discount website is good too.

Cons

Disgraceful politics at every level. Cut-Throat, don't care about employees, terrible pay, long hours, deceitful managers.
