Pros

Lockheed Martin has great benefits and lots of opportunity. Lockheed has locations all over the country and world. Also there are many different fields that can be explored. Working at Lockheed you will have the opportunity to work on exciting issues and projects that in many cases really make a difference.

Cons

No downsides to speak of.

Pros

Pros -- Decent work/life balance (they don't work you to death). Very good Benefits. They are very flexible in terms of dress and schedule.

Cons

Cons -- the pay seems to be on the low side of average. Incremental/yearly raises are small. They seem to favor the very young people for management positions. If you have about 10-15 years of experience you BETTER be sure you hire in as a Level 4 (Staff), because if you don't you'll never advance. I've been asking for a leadership role for over two years running, with no response from management.

Pros

Many employment opportunities for recent college grads. Lockheed Martin is a large company with many projects and locations; there is usually something that will interest you. Decent pay and benefits and a good tuition reimbursement program.

Cons

Management positions are plentiful, high paying, and stable, but ultimately a burden to the company and projects. Schedules and budgets are often overly aggressive and with a lack of engineers and decent tools (software and hardware). The company is obsessed with earned value management practices and program schedules / statistics since this is their foundation for bidding on new contracts - engineers are at the mercy of a race to be the cheapest. Strongly encouraged overtime due to a shortage of engineers.
