Pros

There's great satisfaction and sense of achievement working on projects that actually fly or will fly in space.

Cons

The company can be slow to adopt newer technologies (ironic for a company working on spacecraft!), some because of bureaucracy, some resistance to change, and other times security reasons are to blame. To obtain required photos, I can't just whip out my phone, snap away, then post or share. I need to find an approved, company-owned camera, take the pictures, hunt for a cable and/or card reader to download them to a computer that actually permits external devices to be connected, then email or IM. A lot of extra steps that most people would consider ridiculous in this day and age.
