Pros

Pay! Advancement if young and willing to kiss butt. Health insurance. Not much else just trying to reach the 20 word minimum! Great US push of opening stores.

Cons

Unqualified managers with little people skills and lack of professionalism! Everyone thinking they are going to be promoted by sucking up to the managers whether in warehouse or corporate . Lack of communication of what exactly is happening and what store is opening. Constantly changing schedules on hourly s to conform to managers opportunities.

Pros

- Boxing Day and New Years Day off - You get paid for every minute you work - 10% staff discount but 20% over Christmas

Cons

- They don't give contracted hours - or any at all which leads to undertime and no pay. - They don't amend shift start times according to travel arrangements - They don't organise shifts and rotas fairly - they say you only work 2 saturday and 2 sundays a month but you'll always work 90% of them. - Management is poor - Area managers are never available to talk to about work issues - Management swear constantly

Pros

Lidl offers every individual the chance to grow and take on responsibility. It offers growth and learning opportunities every day. If you want a comfortable job where you don't have to think and everyday is the same then Lidl is not for you, but if you are wanting a secure, yet challenging career then Lidl offers that to all. Good pay and great people! Most employees need to think long term, rather than right here, right now! Hey, Rome wasn't built In a day!

Cons

It is sometimes required to put extra hours in, but I also believe when you are dedicated to your career that you would be doing that in any job with opportunities. Also starting a company In new country is never going to be easy- those who really focus on the task with be rewarded in the end, I'm sure!
