Pros

Salary is ok, holiday allowance fair

Cons

'God complex' possessed by some Area Managers Labour spend low so any absence (even holiday) tips the store past breaking point Limited hours to train new starters so training ends up compromised Productivity too high in store, all managers are glorified customer assistants and don't get time to run the business as you'd like Long days, weeks, lack of support from field-based management You are just a number on a system; would be nice if there was some sort of recognition that humans work in your stores and not just machines. Channel of communication - PWC is well and good, but don't believe they have any sort of power to do anything. If the unions were allowed and recognised, they'd have a field day.

Pros

Ok salary and benefits ... Respected company and employer in Europe but not yet (by a mile) in the U.S.

Cons

I have worked with a number of multinational companies and compared to my previous experiences, Lidl US is the rock-bottom, however it seems the inexperienced employees there don’t know anything better. The company has a lot of room for improvement with internal communication, job descriptions, process flows, recruitment process and most importantly, ensuring the employees live the company values (in my department discriminating, bullying and other unprofessional behavior was present and accepted). This company is a total disgrace to Schwarz Group.

Pros

10% discount BBQ parties Honestly they don't even offer that many benefits in comparison to other companies based in London.

Cons

It's absolutely a horrible department to work for. Constant work place bullying and constant expectation to do overtime without extra pay! The work life balance is non-existent. The contracts team is the worst of them all! This company doesn't realise how overworked their employees are. There is no room for progression! If you are thinking about applying for this position, DON'T.
