Worst company, it’s a nightmare

Pros

Constant changes - always changing - change is the only constant. If you love a workplace with NO direction YET with constant changes, this is for you.

Cons

All the management are expats, locals are second class here. As long as you are Asian, you do not have a chance to move up the ladder. Lidl advertises itself as family-oriented with flexible working hours is for marketing purpose. Don’t believe. Your managers will tell you they do not appreciate that you work from home in the midst of this Covid situation. Oh and sponsorship for courses? Trust me it’s always in the pipeline but it will never happen.

Pros

It has a good pay package and company car. That’s all that keeps the majority here.

Cons

Stressful, overworked. Not just myself but all full time staff constantly complaining, some are worried to say the truth due to fear of repercussions. It’s common practice. Many are worked out the business without using formal procedures. A blind eye is turned to this practice. Could class it as harassment/bullying. I’ve seen colleagues in my region with personal issues forced out by their bosses by putting them on garden leave with no return to work saying they had enough to get rid of them, taking advantage they are in a fragile state and had no way of defending themselves.
