Pros

Great salary Can be flexible hours if you have a decent store manager (handful of these) Easy to join company

Cons

Terrible work force planning, Rotas changing daily so no one knows what to expect day to day and unfair on colleagues who struggle to plan anything outside of work. You will see colleagues being called in on their days off one day, and being sent home early or having their shift cancelled another day to meet productivity targets that seem to be the main concern over everything and everyone else. No one wants to hear or act upon any negative feedback even in higher management this doesn’t go down well all they want to know about is what goes well. Aggressive approach to management. Very few people in the business with any people management/HR skills even on a basic level. 10/11 hour shifts worked and only 30min break allowed all day, if you feel unwell and need 5minutes you are made to feel awful about it and challenged, even at management level. Managed for every minute of lateness (literally clock in at 9:01 a few times and see) but no mention of the expectation that you finish at 1130pm but your finish time was actually 10:00pm. Instore training is basic and not prioritised. You are literally filling big heavy pallets like a machine for 10hrs or sitting on a till not really any imbetween. Management communicate on what’s app groups which seems a good idea, but warnings/threats and complaints are fished out on here to colleagues who with it being on a social media outlet are often not even at work when they read it.
