Good for customer service skills Work only a few hours a day Time and a half on Sundays

Cons

Work weekends , random days off Unsociable hours Management very very poor in all stores Too much pressure on management from head office Degrading management,bully style

Pros

Friendly and Helpful work environment, depending on location and other employees. Pay rate is decent.

Cons

HR Can't seem to get "on the ball" with payroll in order to get employees either paid on time, direct deposit set up right, or paid PERIOD! Bad bad bad business.... Went through 4 wks of rigorous training only to find that we were transferred to other stores after opening the store we were told would be permanent and then hours kept getting cut drastically for all involved with each subsequent week gone by.

Pros

I met some nice caring people and the pay was decent (when you actually received an actual paycheck) but other than that, NOTHING

Cons

Pay checks were wrong EVERY SINGLE PAY DAY. I was with the company for MONTHS and they struggled to figure out how to set up my pay checks to be directly deposited into my bank account. All the managers have absolutely no idea what they are doing. It's honestly PITIFUL and I'm SOOOOOOOOOO glad I don't have to worry about any of that bull crap anymore. Managers would yell and cuss in front of customers. A STORE MANAGER was cussin up a storm in front of a customer one time because he forgot his wallet at home. Like really??? The 'higher ups' or the 'international' people that were around during grand opening were rude as hell and super condescending. Everything was an absolute mess and all that 'training' at the RDC was honestly super pointless and I regret all the time I spent hoping that things would get better!!! The 'lidl-way' really is the WORST WAY!!! Also, I seriously would not be surprised if HR is actually writing fake reviews on here. They all seem to be too short and non-descriptive. They're all written around the same day too... seems fake to me!!
