Pros

Liberty is a respected company in the Insurance sector. Opportunities are available in many professions. I worked in the Information Systems sector which is very important to the operations of the company. There are plentiful opportunities for college graduates.

Cons

Long term employees are frowned upon. Most middle managers are coached by Human resources into requiring churn within the staff employees.

Pros

Good pay, good benefits, job security, and upward mobility. Liberty has opportunities for everyone. Whether you are interested in claims, sales, or tech support. The pay is good and once you've found your way in you'll find plenty of opportunities if you have the drive.

Cons

9 to 5 and understaffed. This affects you because it means you'll have an unmanageable workload. If you like working a 9 to 5 then the 9 to 5 part is more just whining on my part. It seems like every day is wasted. You come home and...time to go to sleep.

Pros

Great people work at Liberty. The company supports the culture of personal respect and professionalism. There are excellent opportunities to acquire new skills, take training classes. They have a decent benefit package, employees are provided with a pension plan completely funded by the company. The company provides excellent developmental opportunities, their performance rating system is good.

Cons

Strong hierarchical organization, excessive burocracy, poor communication of the senior management initiatives to the rank-and-file. Senior Management is often misled by their direct reports and does not see the real picture. In decision making, loyalty to senior managment often prevails over achieving business goals. Lack of process maturity. Some finger-pointing.
