Pros

Benefits, the brand image, monetary reward, room to grow as a professional, nice hotels for training, expense reports, employment, great for telemarketers

Cons

Hours, though I heard they have a new system of paying reps a low salary by the hour now. Picky on who they insure...leads to less sales...leads to being fired. Terrible NetQuote Internet leads, so you have to pay (a lot) for other internet leads. My office did not field train me, then when it came close to me being let go, they ask me to try to sell to friends and family (I had already tried to but rates were outragous). Customer service reps in your office can choose who to send a new business quote to, so buy them food! Being the best-dressed telemarketer in a suit in the evenings. Working in a cubicle next to your competition (other sales reps). Driving to the customers house just to get a signiture and try to sell them life insurance that is overpriced.

Pros

The pay is great for entry level positions, esp for recent college grads.

Cons

They give ample time off, but beware of taking advantage of it. The work load is so intense it takes days to catch up from missing an afternoon. Also, there is an incredibly high stress level with demands from within the company as well as from outside.

Pros

There are opportunies to move between departments and other locations. On-going training is encourage. However with recent changes (downsizing) the opportunities are less. Accumalation of vacation time (flex time) is acceptable, however, the ability to use it not a positive.

Cons

Because of recent changes there is increased pressure by management to track performance which can be distracting to completing assignments. The company does not communicate pending changes. You can walk into the office and are told things are changing - now, your desk is moving; co-workers are gone. Work load balance is unevenly distributed, some consultants are overwhelmed and others are struggling to get work. Work life balance is difficult inspite of their encouragement to take the time off, you have build up a "reserve" of service hours otherwise you will get behind and never catchup.
