      Pros

      Interesting problem domain (bioenergy research) and really smart peers. A great CEO of the institute and important goals. The location in Emeryville was nice.

      Cons

      A very academic environment which limited teamwork - some coworkers are more interested in the academic credit for their work than in helping others. The pay was OK given the retirement system, but not competitive with many other Bay Area companies.
