Excellent Facilities, and Knowhow of Staff, Good Place to Learn Scientific Skills.

Cons

Bureaucracy, Rigid and Non-transparent Structures. Sometimes hard to get access to instruments (Safety Regulations, etc).

Pros

Very smart and hardworking colleagues. A great place to begin a science or research career. Easy to maintain life/work balance.

Cons

Almost no amenities commonly found in workplaces, such as coffee or tea. Govenment bureaucracy is fairly deeply rooted. Obtaining funds for travel, conferences, training and office supplies can be complex and time-consuming.

Cons

- Salary is fairly low for equivalent experience in industry - Awkward commute - Management is hit and miss - Difficult to advance
