      A lot of talented researchers and engineers who are willing to help you even if they are in other research groups

      Cons

      There is a big difference (funding and management) between research groups. Some groups have bad management. Not many food choices on the hill

      - intellectually stimulating and humbling experience working with scientists - flexible timing for working hours - great work culture - great for curious people wanting to expand the frontier of various science research - amazing view of the bay with excellent weather

      Cons

      - does not have bonuses or stock as it is a non profit research lab but it has retirement plan
