Pros

- Good flexibility - Good work life balance - Many good people - Exciting products to work on - Good car scheme for managers upwards

Cons

- Silo culture means much of your time is spent battling internal stakeholders - Disorganised strategy means a lot of time is wasted on projects - Out of date IT tools/systems and no clear strategy to evolve it (adding extra systems on top doesn't count) - Although there are plenty of opportunities, it's very much about who you know in regards to progressing internally - Graduates are paid far less than many of their peers even long after they've become established Buyers / Managers. It's actually better for individuals to leave and come back on a much higher salary - Very little HR/Management focus on staff retention, they will only really make an effort once you have one foot out the door when it's too late

A very poor company

Pros

I had such a bad time here as an Engineer I can't list pros. Thriving in a new role.

Cons

I have never lasted as short in a company in all of my career. I wasn't a SW developer, I didn't apply for a SW job but I was made a SW developer!? Don't be fooled by job specs - they mean absolutely nothing here. (Note other reviews saying the same ) This particular job is not worth the heartache. There are many reviews on this site saying all the cons. My favorite is the fact one cannot take annual leave as this company has taken the word Agile and tried to fit it in to make a company as unagile as can be! Not allowed to take Mondays, Wednesdays or Fridays off - Great craic!

Pros

The parking has improved since COVID hit. Good, hard working team of people despite management (LL6 upwards)

Cons

Design Directors awful attitude and behaviour. Progression absolutely non-existent. Derisory pay increase this year after 3 years of nothing. Management are yes men. The word 'no' doesn't exist when it comes to work requests. Every request from above is accepted at the expense of the people who actually do the work. When it gets done they are not recognised sufficiently. Reviews, meetings, reviews, meetings, very little design development. Everything is rushed. This is NOT how to design cars. Superiority wins over anything. You MUST agree with senior management. Wellbeing initiatives are lip service and box ticking at best. Poor mental health is rife. Design department run by fear. Constant chopping and changing, reorganisation, voluntary redundancies, rinse and repeat. The company is massively unstable. The good people are leaving in droves, hopefully to be followed shortly by me.
