Pros

IBM is a company with a strong focus on employee knowledge-building and -sharing. Also the individual's right to be 'different' is relentlessly upheld by the company.

Cons

Being a large company the road from 'me' to Mr Palmisano can seem very long. It is a focus area though.

Pros

Some of the reasons to work at IBM: very friendly people, lots of work to do, you get to use some of the latest technologies (IBM routinely acquires small companies and phases them in), there are usually corporate events scheduled.

Cons

THE problem with IBM right now is that this recession has frozen all the jobs, and they are even laying people off.
