Pros

- People are generally great, especially those who are "lifers" that believe in the old HubSpot culture of kindness, helping others; being that person also means you are sacrificing in another way - Product and Engineering roles/teams are stronger in terms of salary/total comp/perks - Decent benefits

Cons

- Work Life Balance is a thing of the past - Constant restructures, re-orgs, and fear of being laid off because leadership decides your role/department/team is not needed "for the business" - Updates of practices and policies before you can even get used to the previous one (EX, I've been here 4 years and never had the same Performance Review model) - No clear growth path or advancement for Individual Contributors - Toxic work environment for BIPOC, especially Black Women

Pros

- training - colleagues and peers / good culture

Cons

- market fit for SMB in Canada isn’t the best. Most companies can’t afford the higher tiers of Hubspot with the exchange rate and these are the tiers you need to sell in order to hit quota consistently at full ramp - attainment at full ramp is low, lots of turnover - hard to find good solid accounts to prospect into - having to wear a CS hat for the first 2- 3 months of selling to a customer - the product keeps changing/ along with pricing. Small new limitations consistently put in place to force lowers level customers to upgrade. Very sneaky with this. - monthly quotas, it’s feels like you have no room to have a bad quarter if you don’t hit 2 months in a row you’re threatened with PiPs - compensation is low, compared to the AEs at the same company in the states. Also for working overtime every week and how challenging this role is we don’t feel fairly compensated to say the least

We are lucky to sell a product with great market fit that is at the forefront of innovation. HubSpot provides a flexible work environment, which allows employees to work from where they do their best work.

Cons

Nothing springs to mind right now.
