Pros

I've been here under 3 years, and the size of the company has doubled. Twice. It's not a question of "Will there be opportunities for me to take on a new role?", but rather, "Which of the 3-6 interesting new roles available most interests me?" The benefits are great, and unlimited vacation is amazing (yes there are people who use it fully- taking a month or more at a time and still crushing their jobs), but the best part for me is the people. Yeah, the hiring process is selective, but totally worth it. Hiring managers do a fantastic job at finding intelligent, passionate people who consistently bring up the average. It would take something really drastic for me to consider leaving any time soon, but if the volume of Linkedin recruiting messages I've been getting is any indication, HubSpot will continue to do great things for me even then.

Cons

The entry level pay for services positions is not the best. I get that it's a case of supply and demand, but I hope that going forward we follow the example set by Google, Facebook and others to entice the very best applicants for every single position.

Ambitious Without Being Aggressive

Pros

HubSpot is ambitious. Seriously ambitious. It doesn't want to be merely a great company; it wants to define an era. And yet it somehow manages to convey this aspiration internally without the aggressiveness that one would think would naturally accompany it. It somehow delivers the message with a laugh and a plan.

Cons

The focus on culture can be a bit self-aware at times. For example, it can be awkward to measure others (and be measured oneself) in terms of how humble the person is.

Pros

HubSpot really is the amazing place it seems to be from the outside. I have been here for over 3 years now and still love it just as much (if not more) as I hoped I would. The people here challenge and support me, there is room to make mistakes and try new things, and the work is fun and rewarding. Yes there is a nap room, and yes there is free beer and yes there is a great new gym but those things are not enough to make me stay at a job for 3 years. The people and the work keep me smiling everyday I walk through these doors.

Cons

We are growing so fast. We could use some more HubSpotters to help us grow and take the company to the next level.
