Pros

Colleagues are super supportive and helpful and will help whenever you needed additional help to look into an issue. Manager is very open and nice to talk to about any issues, be it at work or in life. Not judgemental also. My manager has done all he can to help me grow personally and at work. Customers are generally understanding. Company tries to engage staff by having various events to gather people from different departments.

Cons

Doing multiple live chats - takes a while to get use and quite challenging as there are very demanding customers (which is common for a customer service position).

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. It’s wonderful to hear how supported you felt by both your colleagues and your manager, and that you had opportunities to grow personally and professionally during your time here. That sense of community and support is something we’re proud of within the Customer Support team. We also appreciate your feedback on the live chat workload. Supporting multiple customers at once can definitely be challenging, and input like this helps us think about how we can continue to balance efficiency with delivering the best possible customer experience. Thank you again for all you contributed during your time at HubSpot. Best of luck in your next chapter! – The Customer Support Leadership Team

Pros

HubSpot has been a great place to grow a career and gives employees the flexibility to be autonomous while providing actionable feedback along the way. As long as you keep a growth mindset and can be adaptable, HubSpot is a great place to learn and grow. While HubSpot is going through lots of changes right now, the strategy and communication around it has improved tremendously.

Cons

Not a ton of growth opportunity in the People Org

Thank you for sharing your experience. It’s great to hear that HubSpot has been a place where you’ve been able to grow your career, balance autonomy with feedback, and have an impact. We also appreciate your perspective on growth opportunities within the People Org. Career development is a big focus for us, and we’re continuing to invest in clearer mobility paths and resources to help every HubSpotter — including those in the People team — navigate their next steps. We recommend exploring the new levelling guide, the associated Degreed course, or the new career growth bot to explore your next steps. Thanks again for your feedback and for the impact you’re making here. – The People Team

Exhausting

Pros

They offer remote and hybrid roles.

Cons

For those considering an AE position, especially in Mid-Market, it's important to understand the pace and expectations. Communication is constant, often extending well beyond typical work hours, and responsiveness is expected in real time. While framed as accountability, it often felt more like tight oversight with limited autonomy. Territory quality was a challenge. Many accounts had been contacted repeatedly over the years, making it difficult to engage prospects or build fresh pipeline. Managerial support was inconsistent. Performance metrics were the primary focus, and coaching or development wasn’t emphasized. If you’re not hitting numbers, support may be limited. One unexpected hurdle was transitioning out. Titles didn’t carry the weight I anticipated in the broader market, and many external companies viewed the experience as SMB-level, which made upward mobility difficult. If you're seeking a role that offers long-term growth, balance, and strong mentorship, I’d recommend exploring other options.
