      I have dreamed of working at a place like Hinge — where the people are as smart as they are kind, where the work is as impactful as it is purposeful and there is a beat of humility and humor in the day to day. I joined Hinge years ago and what drew me to the company was the values oriented leaders and business - helping daters delete Hinge! What has kept me at Hinge is a strong culture and deeply fulfilling work.

      Everyone has a perspective on dating so it can be hard to disconnect from dating when your friends, family, and strangers so interested in learning what you do.

      Great perks, beautiful office, excellent resources, smart collegues.

      Cons

      The patients are running the asylum. Gaslighting, selective truth telling, manipulation, and shaming are regular tools used to bully employees … this method trickles down from the immature executives and is encouraged in managers. As a company, inclusive buzz words like radical change, transparency, and “Hinge Heart” are celebrated more than actual systemic change. New “strategies” are constantly marketed to the employees as “innovative” and “industry shaking” but they are basically just copying the other dating apps and trying to take credit. It’s mortifying.
