Pros

Brand, market recognition, availability of publications and invitations to marketing events.

Cons

Staff is undermined by Senior Management, who only seek sales and more sales. Performance reviews that "excel" are systematically "re-calibrated" by Senior Management to bring reviews/salaries down.

Thank you for sharing your opinion back in October 2019. I am so sorry that we are only now responding to your views. You will know that HKA has a continuous improvement approach to our organization, and we have recently agreed that every Glassdoor post will receive a reply. We take this action as we respect and value all opinions. Thank you also for everything you have done to help HKA to grow and improve. You are a current employee with over five years service - so thank you so much. I am sad to read that you don't view HKA very positively. Of course HKA has evolved/improved much since October 2019. If you still feel this way, do reach out to me as perhaps I can assist you? Also we have two Continent Heads, in Haroon and Jad who care very much about our colleagues in the Middle East; so always feel free to reach out to them too. Everything we are doing is to make HKA a great place for our brilliant people to work - so I am sad to read that you are not recommending HKA and therefore unlikely to be enjoying your career with us. Do reach out, I can listen and perhaps help you in some way. I do see HKA very differently to you, albeit that I respect these are your views back in 2019. I joined HKA in April 2020, and I experience colleagues who are passionate about our people and our clients. Promoted colleagues have had salary increases and been recognized for their achievements. Our people are staying with us and our people are the difference in HKA. I experience real collaboration and brilliant ideas coming from our people to make HKA even better. I can only hope that you too, have experienced the improvements in HKA and you are enjoying your work and experience with us now. Please do take care, particularly during this pandemic. Senior management are clueless. All focus is on achieving the numbers dictated by the private equity owner so that the business can be sold again at a profit

Thank you for sharing your view on HKA as you posted back in June 2019. Your post is important and deserves a reply. I am sorry we are only just replying to you now. I was sad to read your post and I am sorry you feel this way about HKA. I respect that this is your view and you posted in June 2019; so much has evolved since that time. I joined HKA in April 2020 and in the eight months I have been here; I do see HKA differently to your view back in June 2019. Of course that difference may be explained by a number of factors, including the time difference. I can only hope that you are still at HKA and you too are seeing/feeling all of the improvements we continue to make around our three strategic objectives of our Clients, our People and our business performance. I am HKA’s Chief People Officer and together with colleagues across the globe we are continuously improving HKA. Part of our continuous improvement journey now includes us reviewing every post on Glassdoor, as all opinions matter and we want to listen and learn and respect everyone by replying. I note you are a current employee in London and have been with us for over 5 years. I really hope you are still at HKA now; as I trust you will be feeling the positive improvements we are making. I know at the time you posted you felt we were “worried more about fees that staff” – I really hope during 2020 you have experienced the passion and priority we have for our brilliant people at HKA.
