Great, until it was no longer

Pros

Fantastic people, with a close knit team across EMEA who supported each other and drove success together. A genuinely 'good' company with great values it tried to live by (and mostly succeeded). Great benefits Great work life balance

Cons

It no longer exists in its previous form. GTM was made redundant / merged with Indeed to drive efficiency. When it comes down to it, a large business prioritises profit.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and for recognizing the great people, culture, and values that defined our teams. We’re incredibly proud of the close-knit, collaborative environment that so many of our employees helped build, and we’re glad to hear that it made a lasting impression. We understand that transitions can be challenging and have a significant impact on teams and roles. While the structure may have evolved, the values and core purpose you mentioned remain central to who we are today. We sincerely appreciate your contributions and wish you continued success in your next chapter. - Britney McDonald, Senior Talent Acquisition Partner

Pros

Great work life balance, good people, relaxed atmosphere.

Cons

Company couldn't survive on its own. Disastrous strategic gamble on Community features. Never monetized. Now merged into Indeed with many good salespeople who had delivered for years, with little support, let go.

I appreciate you taking the time to reflect on your experience and share your thoughts. You’re right that our business has gone through significant transformation. We made difficult choices that changed Glassdoor in meaningful ways, and I recognize the impact that had on our people. While that chapter has closed, it doesn’t take away from the culture, creativity, and drive that defined our GTM teams for so many years. As we move forward in partnership with Indeed, we’re focused on combining the best of both organizations, pairing Glassdoor’s mission of workplace transparency with Indeed’s scale, to deliver even greater value to job seekers and employers alike. Thank you again for the role you played in that journey. - Owen Humphries | President, Glassdoor

Pros

- The Sales individual contributor culture is positive, supportive, and collaborative. - Many talented Enterprise Reps make the peer-to-peer environment strong and motivating. - Good compensation for over-performance. - Several years ago, prior to the Recruit Holding acquisition, this was the best company I had ever worked for.

Cons

- GTM leadership has become disorganized and ineffective. The company has lost the founder-led culture that once made it thrive. - Sales leaders focus heavily on micromanaging metrics that keep Reps busy but don’t necessarily drive revenue. - Mid-level and top-line leaders rely on fear, anxiety, and constantly shifting targets instead of motivating their teams with clear, meaningful goals. - Instead of simplifying around quota attainment, leadership overcomplicates performance with endless spreadsheets and fragmented metrics that distract from real selling. - Too many SMB managers are promoted into the Enterprise tier without true enterprise sales experience, resulting in misalignment at the executive level of client engagements.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, and for the passion and honesty behind it. There’s no question that the last few years have brought major changes for Glassdoor’s go-to-market teams, particularly through the integration with Indeed. That said, I’m proud of the foundation GD GTM built: a culture of collaboration, integrity, and commitment to helping customers build world class employee brands and find real hiring success. As we move forward as part of the Indeed family, our priority is rebuilding around those strengths: simplifying how we work, aligning goals across sales and product, and ensuring every team member feels supported and empowered to succeed. Your feedback reinforces how important that focus is. Thank you again for your contributions and for helping shape what made Glassdoor great. - Owen Humphries | President, Glassdoor
