Pros

Not really any if you want an IT career with them.

Cons

IT has become an outsourcing shop. All IT projects, development and support now in Poland (employees) and mostly India (hundreds of wipro, satyam, hcl types, so not employees), wholesale redundancies of UK/US IT Tech staff in waves over the years, nearly complete now. UK Tech IT staff are overloaded and now used for knowledge transfer to the outsourced staff. The remaining UK/US Tech roles are all about having one permanent staff subject matter expert in multiple tech areas, whom then uses India/Poland to try to get stuff done.

Pros

- Pay is good for the amount of work that you do, but still lower than market - if you want a safe job with stable job with Inflation linked salary increase (but one where you will most likely never realise your potential), this is the company for you.

Cons

-Leadership are disillusioned, talk a big game, but are so detached from the reality of work , it’s actually frightening. They spend 80% of their time playing political games and empty words over doing actual work. - if you think differently, you will be pushed out. No one cares about change - it’s all about talk and big words - middle management are mostly completely inept and unskilled, pretending they are leaders l. Theatre at its finest. - most talented people at all levels are leaving, I know of at least 5 smartest people who have left in the last several months - there is no career progression on merit, people get promoted based on age and sucking up to someone higher up. - people suffer from bullying and burnout , and nothing real seems to be done about it, regardless of what’s on paper. I’ve been personally publicly victimized twice , and nothing was ever done about it.

Pros

Strong Lateral growth and secondment opportunities Good Training and Learning programs Decent benefits, including continuing education

Cons

Far too many internal politics - Watched some coworkers get promoted, and then have their promotions revoked because of some 'internal reasonings' Individuals who should've been promoted to higher positions were never rewarded, while individuals who simply talked the talk would get the jobs, and then be massively incompetent at their position. Leadership is never on the floor
