Pros

Very flexible working conditions Additional 5 days leave Early finish every Friday

Cons

Paid hours are only 7.2 hrs vs the industry standard 7.6 hrs Unsustainable workload, put up with it mentality with no consideration of mental health or respect for work hours Terrible stagnant middle management with low emotional intelligence that have been with the company for too long (6-7+ years) that you can not trust and will often lie to your face, they have completely lost site of what a healthy and happy workplace is and are only interested in their own progression, while also having unrealistic expectations of project completion, due to not knowing themselves the entire process because they haven’t kept their skills up to date on relevant workflows and software Very limited opportunities for growth due to the bottleneck of middle managers Zero training No innovation due to internal red tape Overly conservative approach to everything Archaic ways of working where workload is not even distributed where it should be and very hierarchical Given GSK is a consumer healthcare company their is very little interest in what customers need and no willingness to provide good products unless there is a huge profit margin The list could go on

Pros

Science is still somewhat important

Cons

The inmates are running the asylum. Employees were recently forced to sit through a full week of extremist diversity training. It was run by a bunch of racists who made no effort to hide their contempt and hatred for white males. It was disturbing and depraved. Merit no longer matters st GSK where hiring or promoting based on merit has been declared racist. How extreme is it? Despite many openings requiring skilled, experienced professionals, HR has declared that positions may only be filled by minorities or females. How this level of discrimination is even legal is beyond explanation. If you dare question any of it, you will labeled a racist and your job will be in jeopardy.

Pros

Looks good on your cv and that's about it

Cons

Favouritism, toxic environment, slow growth, everyone is overworked, management present the right intentions however don't listen to feedback, very big blame culture and most people not given the benefit of the doubt when a mistake is made, during my time there most people were unhappy but afraid to say it some even felt racially discriminated
