Pros

 Great staff  Global Company,  good salary package but less than in the past and small negotiation possibilities,  great opportunities and projects if you’re supported,  contribution to eradicate diseases (such as Tetanus, diphtheria, meningitis, measles, hepatitis, ….)

Cons

 High change management levels due to poor vision  Not enough patient focused (to inaccessible & GSK is too big)  Top management has a poor charisma radiance and no crystal clear direction.  Lack of transparency at some management levels who were quite secretive about future plans for the company  Too many rules and it became to administrative ( work fictive 3 hours and have 4 hours of paperwork & negotiations)

GSK Suffers from Big Pharma shrinking

Pros

The company has a great working environment. They are very much on the cutting edge as far as sales, marketing and business development. In addition they work with many of the large nationally known vendors and agencies, which creates a great opportunity for networking. The company is also very pro employee development. They have an extensive training and educational library in addition to conducting several off site learning programs per year.

Cons

The company is in a continued state of downsizing due to generic erosion of blockbuster products and very limited new assets in development. Getting promoted within the company has become increasingly difficult, in large part because they normally implement a mid year hiring freeze if they are not on track to achieve year end budget objectives. That creates a considerable backlog of key talent within the organization looking to identify their next career opportunity. When growth opportunities do become available, they are very often politically charged because there is so much talent looking to move and so few opportunities available for consideration. For that reason, GSK has seen a considerable erosion of key talent leaving the organization to pursue opportunities outside the company.

Pros

High integrity, science and values-based company

Cons

Development opportunities sometimes limited. Lots of emphasis placed on new talent, but less on current talent.
