Pros

Working from home is the only advantage is what most of us see

Cons

1. Most of the times you will be working on POC's, which never turns out to be a project. 2. You can't question your manager/lead even if they are doing wrong. If you question, your growth will be impacted directly or indirectly. 3. Laptops and laptop configuration is so pathetic, not sure how one can work using that. 4. We all joined for the brand name GE, but GE Transportation is sold out to Wabtec and this brand name also gone now. Direct proof for above points is attrition rate. Please believe my words and don't spoil your career by joining here.

Pros

Good Work-life Balance Flexi Timings Good Culture Good company to work in forties

Cons

80% of the work is done by only 20% of the people in the team. Rest just mark attendance! Very less pay compared to other GE business Most of the time work on maintenance projects. Lots of favouritism, all the good work or opportunities will be given to few employees only.

Pros

Decent pay & benefits

Cons

Zero accountability for upper management be it for unprofessional behavior or failed results. Lack of direction from leadership. Due to the amount of reorganization & lay offs management & employees understand knowledge is power and will not share information or train new employees, creating great opportunities for suppliers & bad results for GE. Culture is broken, leadership talks about change & being open to change, but much stays the same at the top layers. The only changes that occur are in lower middle to low management staff. Layoffs occur monthly, constant staff changes makes it impossible to knowledge transfer or create a strategic plan to implement & execute so all work is transactional at best.
