Its a job

Pros

Hours are good, 9-5 I only applied as I needed something for the time being so which enticed me to stay longer than intended... Standard wage and offers stable employment You can meet some good people as well as some that are total jobsworths. Occasional parties Anything with chips Good location within close proximity of hotels and restaurants.

Cons

Lack of communication for changes. Work can sometimes be monotonous. Don't feel much development within role. There is an abundance of managers and too few leaders There is a very vindictive and malice managerial system, as they work very unprofessionally. They will take things personally and can not make decisions professionally. Everyone in higher positions seems to know each other and just have been in there for years, so they seem to just pull someone else into another position even if they can’t do the job. So the staff on ground level are left with useless managers trying to keep power. It is very political. Everything is a show, and nothing is done how it is said on the tin. It is uncomfortably visible. If for whatever reason they do not like you, they will start gunning for you but by using malicious tactics. Now this should not be confused with the fact that it is a simple job where the current climate one would be looking to get paid on time weekly.

Shambolic

Pros

The pay is reasonable, they pay punctually and overall Test and Trace calls can be rewarding if you push through the company's shortcomings and still do your best to help the public. Teams are diverse. You get to work from home and have no commute.

Cons

An absolute shambles. The training is barely adequate, the environment is one of toxic positivity that does not promote any sort of constructive criticism, the guidance is poorly written and the systems are clunky (and when they stop working, which they often do, you can expect a hit in your pay). Many team leaders are condescending or absent, have no idea what they are doing and no skills in managing personnel. If you have a question they will simply copy and paste information you already have or pass you on to someone else. If you need to get in touch with the absence line, good luck. Booking holidays around Christmas was made nearly impossible, and reasonable complaints were met with drivel about how important our job was, as if that had anything to do with their lack of organisation. More generally rotas were not given more than two weeks in advance. They preach about mental health and empathy, but when it comes to their agents they follow none of their own advice. There is little to no job security, not even when a campaign gets extended, and don't expect to be given any meaningful feedback on your performance, just a generic script.

Pros

Work from home. Diversity. A screen and monitor are provided by SITEL

Cons

Mismanagement, extremely bad pay, they say it starts at 16$\hr but you got MTO which stands for mandatory time off every single along with LOW LUNCH which is mandatory long lunch and that is unpaid so you would only end up working 60-65 hours bi-weekly and sometimes even less than that. Help is not provided often times when needed in the Chat rooms that they’re provided so you would end up wondering what to do and what to provide the caller with most of the time and raising your AHT which is your call time and then getting coached that your AHT is very high. Custumer’s are extremely aggressive and humiliating and often times angry and there is literally no one to appreciate that hard work that you constantly do in any way wether it’s your coaches , managers or customers. There has been months were I literally could not afford my rental because of MTO/LOW LUNCH and if you get sick here’s the biggest problem you won’t get paid for your sick days no matter if it’s only 1 day and they’ll still give you mandatory time off and there is no way to make up that time because if you try to on your day off they will also give you MTO if there are no enough callers. Please be careful when choosing your employers and if you have set goals or you’re trying to save money do not consider SITEL because i can assure you will be highly disappointed.
